A concise collection of approximately 420 hadith agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim (muttafaq alayh), selected specifically for their relevance to legal rulings. Because every hadith in this collection meets the highest standard of authenticity, it is widely used as an introductory text for students of fiqh al-hadith. Numerous commentaries have been written on it.
