Hadith #135

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

English Translation

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ has saying: What is given in life-tenancy belongs to the one to whom it was given
