Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ ا

Body (Matn)

لْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أُوتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي الطُّوَلِ وَأُوتِيَ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ سِتًّا فَلَمَّا أَلْقَى الأَلْوَاحَ رُفِعَتْ ثِنْتَانِ وَبَقِيَ أَرْبَعٌ .

English Translation

Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given seven repeated long surahs, while Moses was given six, When he threw the tablets, two of them were withdrawn and four remained
