Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَكِبَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ، عَلَى إِكَافٍ عَلَيْهِ قَطِيفَةٌ، وَأَرْدَفَ أُسَامَةَ وَرَاءَهُ.
English Translation
Urwa from Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger ﷺ rode a donkey on which there was a saddle covered by a velvet sheet and let Usama ride behind him (on the donkey)
