One-fifth of Booty to the Cause of Allah (Khumus)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، حَد
َّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَجْعَلُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم النَّخَلاَتِ حَتَّى افْتَتَحَ قُرَيْظَةَ وَالنَّضِيرَ، فَكَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ.

English Translation
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that people used to give some of their datepalms to the Prophet ﷺ (as a gift), till he conquered Bani Quraiza and Bani An-Nadir, whereupon he started returning their favors
