Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ
سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ} جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُنَادِي " يَا بَنِي فِهْرٍ، يَا بَنِي عَدِيٍّ لِبُطُونِ قُرَيْشٍ ".

English Translation
Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ started calling (the 'Arab tribes), "O Bani Fihr, O Bani `Adi" mentioning first the various branch tribes of Quraish
