Companions of the Prophet

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، وَقَالَ، " عَلِّمْهُ الْكِتَابَ ". حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، مِثْلَهُ. وَالْحِكْمَةُ الْإِصَابَةُ فِي غَيْرِ النُّبُوَّةِ
English Translation
Abdul Warith (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the same but said, "O Allah, teach him (Ibn Abbas) the Book (i.e. the understanding of the knowledge of Qur'an)." Narrated Khalid: As above
