حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ

صِلَةَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ " لأَبْعَثَنَّ ـ يَعْنِي عَلَيْكُمْ ـ يَعْنِي أَمِينًا ـ حَقَّ أَمِينٍ ". فَأَشْرَفَ أَصْحَابُهُ، فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ رضى الله عنه.

English Translation

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said to the people of Najran, "I will send you the most trustworthy man." (Every one of) the companions of the Prophet ﷺ was looking forward (to be that person). He then sent Abu 'Ubaida
