وَقَالَ لَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَالأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
قَالَتْ لَمَّا أُنْزِلَتِ الآيَاتُ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَرَأَهُنَّ عَلَيْنَا، ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ.

English Translation
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that when the last Verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, Allah's Messenger ﷺ stood up and recited them before us and then prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors
