Chain of Narration (Isnad)

وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -سَرِيَّةً, فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَمْسَحُوا عَلَى اَلْعَصَائِبِ - يَعْنِي: اَلْعَمَائِمَ -وَالتَّسَاخِينِ- يَعْنِي: اَلْخِفَافَ

} رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِم ُ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أحمد (577)، وأبو داود (146)، والحاكم (169)، وقد أعل الحديث بما لا يقدح.

English Translation

Thawban (rad) (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) sent out a military expedition and commanded them to wipe over the turbans and leather socks. .
