عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ اَلْأَ نْصَارِيِّ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-يَقُولُ: { " لَا يُجْلَدُ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ أَسْوَاطٍ, إِلَّا فِي حَدِّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اَللَّهِ" } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه البخاري ( 175 ‏- 176 / فتح )‏، ومسلم ( 1708 )‏.‏

English Translation

Abu Burdah Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "No more than ten lashes are to be given except when inflicting one of the Hudud (prescribed punishments) of Allah." Agreed upon.
