Chain of Narration (Isnad)

وَلَهُ : عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-

Body (Matn)

قَالَ : { لَا يُؤَذِّنُ إِلَّا مُتَوَضِّئٌ } وَضَعَّفَهُ أَيْضًا 1‏ .‏ فَالْحَدِيثُ ضَعِيفٌ مَرْفُوعًا وَمَوْقُوفًا .‏‏1 ‏- ضعيف .‏ رواه الترمذي (200)‏ وضعفه بالانقطاع بين الزهري وبين أبي هريرة .‏ قلت : ورواه أيضا (201)‏ موقوفا على أبي هريرة ‏- ولا يصح أيضا ‏- بلفظ : "لا ينادي بالصلاة إلا متوضئ ".‏

English Translation

He also reported from Abu Hurairah (RA): the Prophet ﷺ said: "No one should announce Adhan except the one who has performed the ablution". . So the narration is weak whether Marfu' or Mawquf (saying of a Companion).
