Chain of Narration (Isnad)

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ, فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ, وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُم

Body (Matn)

ْ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا النَّسَائِيَّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أحمد (3426)، وأبو داود (4061)، والترمذي (994)، وابن ماجه (3566). وقال الترمذي: "حسن صحيح".

English Translation

Ibn ‘Abbas (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Wear white clothes, for they are (considered as) your best clothes, and enshroud your dead in them.” Related by the five Imams, except for An-Nasa’i, and At-Tirmidhi reported it to be sound.
