وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَ

Body (Matn)

دَعَا لِأَهْلِهَا, وَإِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ اَلْمَدِينَةَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ، وَإِنِّي دَعَوْتُ فِي صَاعِهَا وَمُدِّهَا بِمِثْلَيْ 1 مَا دَعَا 2 إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 3 .1 - هذه رواية مسلم، وفي رواية البخاري وأخرى لمسلم " مثل ".2 - زاد مسلم: " به ".3 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 2129 )، ومسلم ( 1360 ) واللفظ لمسلم.

English Translation

'Abdullah bin Zaid bin ’Asim (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ibrahim declared Makkah as a Haram (Sanctuary) and made supplication for its people, and I declare Madinah to be a Haram just as Ibrahim declared Makkah as a Haram, and I made supplication for its Mudd and Sa’ (refer to hadith no. 650), just as Ibrahim made supplication for the people of Makkah." Agreed upon.
