Arabic Text

عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ, عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-يَقُولُ: { مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مَالَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَفْلَسَ, فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه البخاري ( 2402 )‏، ومسلم ( 1559 )‏.‏

English Translation

Abu Bakr bin 'Abdur-Rahman on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that we heard Allah's Messenger ﷺ say: "If a creditor finds his very property with a debtor who becomes bankrupt, he is more entitled to it than anyone else." .
