Chain of Narration (Isnad)

وَعَنْ سَالِمٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , { أَنَّ غَيْلَانَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ أَسْلَمَ وَلَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ , فَأَسْلَمْنَ مَعَهُ , فَأَمَرَهُ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ يَتَخَي

َّرَ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ , وَالْحَاكِمُ ، وَأَعَلَّهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ , وَأَبُو زُرْعَةَ , وَأَبُو حَاتِمٍ 1 .1 - ضعيف . رواه أحمد (23 و 14) ، والترمذي (1128) ، وابن حبان (1377) ، والحاكم (292) وهو معلول وقد أبان الحافظ في " التلخيص " ( 3 / 168 - 169 ) عن علله.

English Translation

Salim on the authority if his father (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ghailan bin Salamah accepted Islam and he had ten wives who accepted Islam along with him. So, the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to, "Choose four of them." .
