Chain of Narration (Isnad)

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنه - - { فِي اِمْرَأَةِ اَلْمَفْقُودِ- تَرَبَّصُ أَرْبَعَ سِنِينَ, ثُمَّ تَعْتَدُّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا } . أَخْرَجَهُ مَالِك

ٌ, وَالشَّافِعِيُّ 1 .1 - ضعيف. رواه مالك في "الموطأ" (2 /575 /52)، من طريق سعيد بن المسيب، عن عمر، به وهو منقطع.

English Translation

Umar (RA) regarding a wife of a lost husband (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that she should wait for four years and then observe the 'Iddah for four months and ten days (before she may remarry). .
