حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَة

َ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to distribute fairly among his wives, and would say: 'O Allah, this is my division in what I have control over, so do not reproach me for what You have control over but I do not.'
