أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَة

َ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَوْ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ تَحِدَّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا "

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for anyone for more than three days, except for her husband, for whom she mourns for four months and ten days.'
