حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْ

زَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ :" وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الذَّهَبِ أَلْفُ دِينَارٍ "

English Translation

It was narrated from the family of Amr ibn Hazm that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to the people of Yemen: 'Upon the people of gold (i.e. those who use gold currency): one thousand dinars.'
