أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَاب

ِرٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟. قَالَ :" مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone asked: O Messenger of Allah, which jihad is most virtuous? He said: 'The one whose horse is hamstrung and whose blood is shed.'
