Hadith #1701
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ا
بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مِشْرَحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الْمُرَابِطَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُجْرَى لَهُ عَمَلُهُ حَتَّى يُبْعَثَ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Every dead person has his deeds sealed except the one standing guard at the frontier in the cause of Allah — his deeds continue to grow until the Day of Resurrection, and he is spared the trial of the grave.'
