Hadith #576
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ" إِذَا دَخَلَ الصَّلَاةَ، كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ، فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَلَا يَرْفَعُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ أَوْ فِي السُّجُودِ "
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he entered the prayer, he would say the takbir and raise his hands level with his shoulders; when he bowed he would do the same; when he raised his head from the ruku he would do the same; but he would not raise his hands between the two prostrations.
