English Translation

It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw phlegm on the wall of the mosque, took a pebble and scraped it off, then said: 'When one of you clears his throat, let him not do so in the direction of the qiblah, nor to the right, but to his left or beneath his foot.'
