English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'What cuts off the prayer of a man — if there is nothing in front of him like the back of a saddle — is a donkey, a black dog, and a woman.' I asked: 'What is it about a black dog over a red or yellow one?' He said: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as you asked me, and he said: The black dog is a devil.'
