Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : " كَانَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ يُؤَذِّنُ لِصَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ عَلَى عَهْدِ ِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَفَيَقُومُ لُبَ
ابُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَيَبْتَدِرُونَ السَّوَارِيَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ ". قَالَ : وَقَلَّ مَا كَانَ يَلْبَثُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to rush for the pillars (of the mosque) when they heard the adhan, until the Prophet ﷺ came out and found them like that. He said: 'I see you have become enthusiastic.' He seldom spent much time (before coming out).
