Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، اسْتَشْرَفَهُ النَّاسُ فَقَالُوا : قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : فَخَرَجْتُ فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ وَجْهَهُ، عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ، وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ،أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ، وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ، وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ، وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Abd Allah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah, people rushed to see him, saying: 'The Messenger of Allah has come!' He went out with those who went out, and when he saw his face he knew it was not the face of a liar. The first thing he heard the Messenger ﷺ say was: 'O people, spread the salutation of peace, feed food, keep family ties, and pray at night while people sleep — you will enter Paradise in peace.'
