Hadith #854
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي،فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ "
English Translation
It was narrated from Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Prophet ﷺ came out to the musalla (open prayer area) seeking rain. He turned his cloak inside out while facing the qiblah, then prayed two rak'ahs.'
