Hadith #2033
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ
: سَمِعْتُ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ جَبَلَ أُحُدٍ لِي ذَهَبًا أَمُوتُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ أَوْ نِصْفُ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا لِغَرِيمٍ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ☯ said: "It would not please me to have the mountain of Uhud turned into gold for me, with three dinars remaining after three days except what I set aside for a debt, unless I spent it in the path of Allah — and he gestured to his right, left, and behind."
