Hadith #2600
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّه
ِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ :" مَا جَالَسَ الْقُرْآنَ أَحَدٌ فَقَامَ عَنْهُ، إِلَّا بِزِيَادَةٍ أَوْ نُقْصَانٍ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : # وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلا خَسَارًا سورة الإسراء آية 82 #

English Translation
It was narrated from Qatada that he said: "No one has sat with the Quran and then risen from it except with an increase or a decrease." He then recited: {And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, and it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss} (Quran 17:82).
