حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ :" إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَنَامًا، وَإِنّ
َ سَنَامَ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ ، وَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ لُبَابًا، وَإِنَّ لُبَابَ الْقُرْآنِ الْمُفَصَّلُ "" قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : اللُّبَابُ : الْخَالِصُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Everything has a peak, and the peak of the Quran is Surah al-Baqarah. Everything has a core, and the core of the Quran is the Mufassal surahs." — Abu Muhammad said: "Al-lubab means the purest part."
