حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَرَأَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَقَرَةَ ، وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ ، فَقَالَ :قَرَأْتَ سُورَتَيْنِ فِيهِمَا اسْمُ اللَّهِ الْأَعْظَمُ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ، أَجَابَ، وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى "

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "A man recited Surah al-Baqarah and Al 'Imran before 'Abdullah, and 'Abdullah said: 'You have recited two surahs that contain the Greatest Name of Allah — He who, when called upon by it, answers, and when asked by it, gives.'"
