Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَتْنَا عَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، قَالَ :" اقْرَءُوا الْمُنَجِّيَةَ، وَهِيَ : ( الم تَنْزِيلُ )، فَإِنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَقْرَؤُهَا مَا يَقْرَأُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَهَا، وَكَانَ كَثِ
يرَ الْخَطَايَا، فَنَشَرَتْ جَنَاحَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَقَالَتْ : رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ قِرَاءَتِي، فَشَفَّعَهَا الرَّبُّ فِيهِ، وَقَالَ : اكْتُبُوا لَهُ بِكُلِّ خَطِيئَةٍ حَسَنَةً، وَارْفَعُوا لَهُ دَرَجَةً "

English Translation
It was narrated from Khalid ibn Ma'dan that he said: "Recite al-Munjiya — which is Alif Lam Mim Tanzil (Surah al-Sajdah) — for it has reached me that a man used to recite it and nothing else, and he had many sins. It spread its wing over him and said: 'O Lord, forgive him, for he used to recite me abundantly.' And the Lord accepted its intercession for him and said: 'Record a good deed for him for every sin, and raise his rank by one degree.'"
