أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَبِز

َكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ عَنْ كُلِّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ، حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ، صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ ". قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : فَعَدَلَهُ النَّاسُ بِمُدَّيْنِ مِنْ بُرٍّ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the zakat al-fitr — from every young and old person, free and slave — one sa' of barley or one sa' of dates.' Ibn Umar said: 'The people equated it with two mudds of wheat.'
