Hadith #1050
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ لَسْتُ بِتَارِكِهِنَّ : " أَنْلَا أَنَامَ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ، وَأَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَأَنْ لَا أَدَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى ". أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، نَحْوَهُ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'My close friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me of three things which I will never abandon: "That I sleep only after praying Witr, that I fast three days of every month, and that I not abandon the two rakats of Duha."'
