أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَيَدْخُلُ مَكَّةَ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ الْعُلْيَا ، وَيَخْرُجُ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ السُّفْلَى "
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ي said about the verse regarding crescent moons: 'They are signs for people to know the times of their acts of worship and their commerce.'
