English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever drinks wine, flog him. If he drinks it again, flog him. If he drinks it a third time, flog him. If he drinks it a fourth time, kill him.' Abu Hurairah said: A man was brought to the Prophet ﷺ who had drunk wine four times but the Prophet ﷺ did not kill him; he only flogged him.
