حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا

عَوْفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلاَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ الْعِشَاءَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا .

English Translation

Abu Barzah Al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to like to delay the 'Isha', and he disliked sleeping before it, and engaging in conversation after it
