Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّ
دُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ .

English Translation
Simak bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that “I heard Jabir bin Samurah say: ‘the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon standing, but he used to sit down briefly, then stand up.’”
