The Book of Drinks
Arabic Text
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ .
English Translation
Ibn 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger ﷺ forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch) and in varnished jar
