The Book of the Merits of the Companions
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، . بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ، لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ذِكْرُ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَبُكَاءُ الْبَاكِيَةِ .
English Translation
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jabir through another chain of transmitters, but with this difference that there is no mention of the Angels and the weeping of a female mourner
