حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ أَبِ
ي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ أَيَّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا بِلَيْلٍ فَأَقْبَلَتْ إِلَيْهَا هَذِهِ الْفَرَاشُ وَالدَّوَابُّ الَّتِي تَغْشَى النَّارَ فَجَعَلَ يَذُبُّهَا وَتَغْلِبُهُ إِلَّا تَقَحُّمًا فِي النَّارِ وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَتَغْلِبُونِي إِلَّا تَقَحُّمًا فِي النَّارِ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'My parable and the parable of the Prophet ﷺs before me is like a man who built a house, beautified it and perfected it, except for one brick in a corner. People would walk around it and marvel at it, saying: If only this brick were put in its place! I am that brick, and I am the Seal of the Prophet ﷺs.'
