حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِ
ي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ خَرَجَ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ الصَّوْتَ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ رَجَعَ فَوَسْوَسَ فَإِذَا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When Shaytan hears the call to prayer, he turns and flees, passing wind loudly, so that he does not hear the adhan. When the adhan is finished, he comes back. When the iqamah is called, he flees. When the iqamah is finished, he comes back and whispers between a person and his soul, saying: Remember such-and-such, remember such-and-such — things he had not been thinking of — until the man does not know how many he has prayed.'
