حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَ

عِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَالُ لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ اقْرَأْ وَاصْعَدْ فَيَقْرَأُ وَيَصْعَدُ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ آخِرَ شَيْءٍ مَعَهُ

English Translation

Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Firas, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ said: 'It will be said to the companion of the Quran on the Day of Resurrection: Recite and ascend, and recite with tartil (measured recitation) as you used to recite with tartil in the worldly life, for indeed your rank will be at the last verse you recite.'
