English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I am ruined! He said: What has ruined you? He said: I had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan while fasting. He said: Can you free a slave? He said: No. He said: Can you fast two consecutive months? He said: No. He said: Can you feed sixty poor people? He said: No. Then a basket of dates was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and he said: Take this and give it in charity. He said: To someone poorer than me? There is no family between its two lava fields more in need than mine. the Prophet ﷺ laughed until his premolars were visible, then said: Go and feed your family with it.'
