حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَحُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مُط

ِرْنَا بَرَدًا وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ صَائِمٌ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ قِيلَ لَهُ أَتَأْكُلُ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا هَذَا بَرَكَةٌ

English Translation

Abdullah narrated to us, Ubaydullah ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah and Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: Hail fell upon us while Abu Talhah was fasting, and he began eating from it. It was said to him: 'Are you eating while fasting?' He said: 'This is a blessing.' Then Anas went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned it to him, and he said: 'It is provision that Allah has provided.'
