English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us — and Hajjaj said: Shu'bah narrated to us — he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Abu Nadrah — Hajjaj said in his hadith: I heard Abu Nadrah — he said: It was mentioned to Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) that [some people say] no one who pledged allegiance under the tree will enter the Fire. He said: 'the Prophet ﷺ said: There will come out of the Fire [some people].' Abu Nadrah said: Jabir said that the mut'ah [temporary marriage] was then prohibited by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
