حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي ا

لزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَلَا تُعْمِرُوهَا فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hold on to your wealth and do not give it as 'umra [a lifetime gift]. For whoever gives something as 'umra, it becomes part of the inheritance [of the recipient, i.e., it becomes their permanent property].'
