English Translation

Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, who said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A town-dweller should not sell on behalf of a desert-dweller [i.e., a broker should not act as middleman]. Leave the people to provision one another through Allah's decree.'
