Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I dreamt as if my neck was struck [and my head cut off].' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Why does one of you speak of Shaytan's play [i.e., a disturbing dream should not be narrated]?'
